Thanks so much for sending my glass painting. It arrived safely and is now hanging at my window, looking lovely.
Just wanted to say we had a fantastic time at kilntime.
We were a multi generations group and everyone, even the least artistically minded created something they were happy with and even more delighted once they had been fired in the kiln!
Julie is so friendly, kind and knowledgeable.
No question was too daft (and I did have some daft questions), all were met with patience and clear information as well as interesting facts/history about making things with glass.
Would do it again anytime, in fact we're trying to work out when we can all find time to get together and bring a few others with us next time!
I attended the Friday evening 'Kiln Time' glass fusing workshop with a friend. We had a wonderful time learning about glass fusing, and the options available to us. It was great that we were given the freedom to make our own design, but were also provided with templates to use if we were stuck for ideas. Julie was a great host, very friendly, and happily chatted to us about our visit to Glasgow. Although we don't live in here and were just visiting, we will definitely look for available classes when we next return!
Thank you very much! It was a great session and so good to just take some time to do something creative!!
We were talking about the class when we met up this week and we were saying how much we enjoyed the evening and that we would definitely like to do it again, thank you for making it fun.The before & after transformation is amazing, I had no idea what to expect.
Had an amazing time with the glass workshop- thank you so much. Amazing way to “kiln time”
We went along as a couple to make glass hearts, and had a lovely evening getting creative and chatting away! Even better that we have such lovely decorations to show for it. We hope to be back again.
'Really enjoyed the class - lovely relaxing + fun way to spend some time'
Nice and relaxing activity - loved working with the glass and there was so many beautiful colours to choose from.
I really enjoyed my first experience of making a Christmas tree so went back again, this time to make some love hearts. It’s such a nice relaxing and creative craft to do in a friendly setting, with some lovely handmade ornaments to take away. Many thanks to Julie, a brilliant teacher!
Enjoyed choosing different beads of glass and the ease of making something so beautiful.
I was lucky enough to take part in one of Julie's first glass crafting sessions. On the day in question, I had been working non-stop and was exhausted and frazzled; it would have been very easy to cancel. Thank goodness I didn't!
Over a couple of hours in a small, welcoming environment, I was able to focus mindfully on creating my little piece of art, whilst chatting and laughing with others in the group. It took my mind away from work: the intricate nature of the crafting forced me to focus on this alone and I left the class feeling calm, re-energised and proud of what I had been able to create in such a short time.
My mandala hangs in my window now as a constant reminder to make time for myself when I need it.
